  5. Double click on Windows Module Installer and set it to “Disabled” or “Manual“.
  6. See the image below for details and press Apply.

  7. That’s all. You are all good to go. But now, you cannot download and install the updates.
  8. If you want to install the updates manually, set the selection to Manual. When ever you want to update your windows, you must got to update in the control panel and check for updates to install them. They will not install automatically.

 

Suggestion –

Update your Windows first and then disable updates as shown in the above steps. If you did not update your windows, you windows may be unstable due to some bugs. Once the Windows operating system is stable, you can completely disable automatic updating and also manual updating. If you need new features and latest features, you must enable automatic updating or check for the updates manually twice a week.
